Zoom! In-Office Whitening in Richmond Hill

Helping Your Smile Reflect Its True Brilliance!

Zoom! Whitening treatment is a fast and effective way to safely achieve a dramatically whiter smile in about an hour at Bastone Dentistry. In this process, the whitening solution can be applied directly to the teeth for great results with minimal sensitivity. Our gel-based whitening solution can gently lift years of staining from the surface of your teeth, without damaging the enamel in any way.

Frequently Asked Questions about Zoom!

How does the Zoom! treatment work?

First, the gumline is protected with an application of vitamin E. Then, the whitening gel is applied to the surface of the teeth. The gel is then exposed to a UV-free 'cool blue' LED light which accelerates the whitening effect.

What kind of results can I expect?

If you are in good oral health and your staining is mostly due to coffee or smoking, for instance, you can expect fantastic results. Success varies from patient to patient depending on the severity of staining. Consult with Dr. Bastone regarding your eligibility.

Is it safe? What is in the gel?

It is 100% safe and will not harm the enamel of your teeth in any way. The active ingredient in the whitening gel is hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide can be found in lower concentrations in products such as toothpaste and contact lens solutions for its antiseptic qualities. It is also commonly used to treat wounds and is a powerful whitening agent!

Will there be any sensitivity?

To avoid any sensitivity during treatment, we offer our gels in a variety of concentrations so that your treatment provider may customize the treatment to your needs. If you are in a good state of oral health, you experience minimal, if any sensitivity as a result of your treatment.

Do the results last?

Although existing stains can be removed, your teeth will inevitably stain again over time. Depending on factors such as diet and smoking, periodic treatments may be necessary to maintain your whiter shade.
